Well for that specific render, Blind Faith, I suppose It took about 25-30 hours in total. But since I'm a beginner, much more of work can be done and will able to be done by myself in the future. And there is another factor, I had no idea but a round-plate-like object in my head when I was doing this, so I improvised. And improvisation takes a lot of time
For a beginner I would say you did a great job! There are a lot of challenging angles out there.
Do you work with a company, or are taking schooling, or just doing this on your own? Sorry for all of the questions.
I take it you don't see object as just objects anymore. As someone who likes to draw, everything looks like lines that belong on paper to me.
Well besides the university, I'm completely self-thought and just began 3d stuff 2 months ago. This was our first year in school, so there werent any CAD lessons or etc... I took some lessons on lighting with mental ray though, on lynda.com, great source...
This is not a "360 degree" piece, but with small adjustments it could be. But e.g. if you were rotate the camera 180 degrees around, you would have to put a space or a planet image in the bottom, and thats impossible for me now as I have no idea how to create those kind-of scenes in PS or whatever program
With practice I'm sure you will learn how someday, or just push it aside. I wonder how difficult it would be to combine 3D and 2D, I know it's been done before.
Sorry I didn't reply sooner.
I think I might be pushing it aside, but I'm learning to create 3d landscapes/space using VUE that looks like a 2d BG anyway.
