This is from one of my new series, The Eden Archives. Eden Archives is the place where all the history of this planet is stored and archived in high-tech devices. This is the entrance of the archives.
The position of the people seem a bit misplaced like they are just going through routine and can't be bothered by actually relaxed and taking a proper explore around the place. I like how the holographic panels seem to just appear almost defiantly out of nowwhere but you know somehow they are projected from the counters. I know this is meant to be a wide room but the patturned placement of the furniture is one too redundant as the middle coach could have been made a bit weird from the others or somewhere along the way could have been changed. The very far off courner of this room is gorgeous how it seems to disappear into the distance giving the obvious indication there there is a really long hallways with many more awsome rooms to terminate in. The futuristic look of the place is complimented by the mirrored reflection of the wall on the floor almost as if the place is awsome enough the have a ghost room under it. The asymmetrical arrangment of the shelves gives it a waste not personality that is fucntionally modern.
Love the environment ... but I think I prefer the images that either have no people in them, or one's were the people are further away. The ones with th epeople closer up seem to stand out as the skin textures are harder to match to the quality of the textures you have in the environments. The character closest to the viewer looks to be 'lens distorted', not sure if that is intentional? not sure what happened to her feet? ...and she has a bit of a vacant stare - as tho she doesn't want to be there!
I'm only nit picking, as the scene is increadibly well rendered, like all your images! I Will be watching for more of your amazing work!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You know nit picking is very important to me, I'm extremely hard on myself usually. I'm never satisfied with what I do, no matter how it is "good", I always try to push myself a little further, you know beyond the limits, you have to try to reach there. So, I find this kind of comments very valuable, thanks for that (=.
the one in the bacground looks fine. The one in the foreground looks a bit fierce, (I wouldn't say awkward!), as though she has just had an argument and has that expression of 'say anything more, and you'll regret it!'... perhaps she doesn't like the way the guy is meditating on her! And what happened to make her feet black? (they are not black in the reflection in the floor...) ... but as I say, these are minor when compared to the rest of the render! - and I know how you mean, I'm always trying to push myself too, just haven't had the time lately...
