This is my latest ship design, the Peregrine Falcon. It has taken it's name from the bird, which is the fastest living animal on our planet, can reach up to speeds like 240 miles per hour.
This particular section shows the library section, where the new crew members get to know the basic operations/areas of the ship. I do think that it's very likely that this will become a webisode too, such as Taurus, which isn't finished yet.
Rendered with Mental Ray, postwork on Photoshop and Aftereffects.
From a technical point of view this piece is highly impressive. The modelling and the lighting are both excellent and the characters have been very well integrated into the scene.
While I do like the design I feel the concept could be developed further. Considering this is a library albeit a futuristic one, the scene feels somewhat spartan in regard to the amount of books and monitors displaying information.
I personally would like the scene to incorporate multiple walkway levels and far more books, perhaps holographic information displays, star charts etc.
I like the overall composition of the scene and the way the viewers eye is lead to the far end of the hall. The reading area at the focal point is in need of something more, perhaps more light from the far window, or a larger area with more elements. I'm not certain on this.
My only other crit is the lighting, it is very clinincal and perhaps another colour could be integrated into the scene to give the area more warmth and feeling.
Technically this piece deserves a 5 but I'm rating it a 4 since I would love to see this idea developed further. That is however only my opinion and should not be seen as a negative view of the vast amount of time ,effort and skill the artist has clearly demonstrated here.
I have to say that your work is truly genuine. It's interesting, it's dynamic, it's creative. I see that you put your heart in it, and I assume that it's the reason why your work is sooo great.
Thanks very much indeed for your sincere feelings (=. (Btw whether you are "big" or "small", you know that God is watching you, and that's enough (= ).
